About Claire's Creative Catering

In the fifteen or so years she has been in the catering business, "Claire Lamborne's reputation as a caterer has put her name, and her food on everyone's lips. She attributes this success to her company's persnickety devotion to details, a loyal and skilled staff, and a distinctive approach to cooking, a repertory that often features a whimsical and improbable combination of fresh ingredients."

Her career did not start in the food business however, but in a more traditional way...as a school teacher.

It is her love of cooking that eventually brought her in to this business full time. In 1981 she received her diploma from "L'Academie De Cuisine", in Bethesda, MD. In 1994, after owning and running a restaurant in Charlottesville, VA, working in various restaurants and consulting, she started Claire's Catering in its present location at 65 South 3rd St. in Historic Old Town Warrenton.

Claire Lamborne is also an avid gardener, and plants and maintains a beautiful garden full of herbs and edible and ornamental flowers which grace not only the premises of Claire's Catering, but also her beautiful platters of food and her colorful buffets.
